Anything to Say About the Jack Taylor Series?

Do you have anything to say about the Jack Taylor TV Series?

I love all Ken Brien’s novels and especially the Jack Taylor television series, I think they did a great job with filming that and love the Galway setting as I know Galway well, great to see a thriller set in the city.

I know a lot of American fans of Ken were desperately wanting to know when the series would be available over in the USA Not sure if ever was broadcast on the networks but it is available now for streaming on Netflix USA and UK/Ireland so hopefully everyone will have watched all the episodes by now.

Anyway, you are welcome to post any comments about the series here and share with other fans.

Oh please, please, please! Bring back Jack Taylor! Iain Glen is brilliant as Jack Taylor, this show left us hanging, so to speak. Cosy wakes up from his coma and we are left there. This show cannot end like that! I’m a fan of crime drama television shows. I do enjoy the various Law and Order programs in America but it’s nice to see how the law and lack thereof is depicted in other parts of the world. I also enjoy watching Vera, New Tricks, White Castle and Law and Order UK, however Jack Taylor, is my personal favorite. I hope Iain reprises his role. Do keep us posted.

Just had to pop in and say that I’m glad you convinced me I loved The Dramatist and have aldeary bought the next two titles as eBooks. It was a good book until the end when it crossed over into brilliant for me. Of course it was a horrible ending but so perfect for the story and it completely took me by surprise (I was listening to it on audio book as I walk to work and I was entering my office building’s foyer when it happened and I uttered a loud noooo the security guards and the only other nutter silly enough to get to work at 7am all looked at me like I was a little bit scary)

The end of the sixth episode with Killian Scott’s character awakening from his coma suggested that there would be more to come. I watch all six films on DVD from Netflix over the course of one week via mail, would definitely like to see more, The 90 minute movies are better than having a bunch of 40 minute episodes.

I just finished watching all 6 episodes on Netflix and I have to say the series was stellar.

I don’t watch TV shows at all, mostly just news and documentaries. Movies are my forms of get-away entertainment. There are only 5 shows I’ve watched in the last 5 years and Jack Taylor is one of them, Game Of Thrones is another which is what made me curious about Jack Taylor. I have to say, Jack Taylor is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. I hope they come out with at least another season. But if they don’t, that last episode was the perfect ending to a great series. It made me smile… trust me, that’s not easy to do.

To the producers and Glen – Thank you, well done.
